Chiefs of Vuda follow protocol

The chiefs of the Vanua of Vuda met this morning at Viseisei village in relation to the traditional protocol of conveying the message of the Tui Vuda, Ratu Josefa Iloilo's death to the various households.

Taukei Sawaieke, Ratu Tevita Momoedonu confirms there will be six teams from Vuda who will traditionally take the message to the chiefs in the 14 provinces.

Ratu Momoedonu said a team from Vuda will also meet with the President of Fiji, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau and the Prime Minister, Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama to convey the message about the death of Tui Vuda.

Momoedonu said this is the respect from the Vanua of Vuda to the chiefs of Fiji and that has been followed for a very long time.
