Minister for iTaukei Affairs Ifereimi Vasu

Minister for iTaukei Affairs Ifereimi Vasu says there is a need to provide support to village headmen and chiefs around Fiji.

Speaking to the media after his official welcome at the Ministry of iTaukei Affairs, Vasu says he has been visiting Kadavu during the election campaign period, and one thing he saw is that chiefs need the support of the government.

He says if they give them the title without any support, they will not be successful.

The Minister says the way he looks at it is that people will only follow a person that has something with him.
