Fiji Labour Party Leader, Mahendra Chaudhry will collaborate with Unity Fiji Leader, Savenaca Narube for the Local Government Elections and 2026 General Elections.
Chaudhry has confirmed this to fijivillage News, and he says there is a draft Memorandum of Understanding that both sides have negotiated for the Local Government Elections, and it’s just a matter of signing it.
The FLP Leader says he will meet Narube later this week to discuss the next election.
When asked how will this collaboration work in favour of the Fijians, Chaudhry says this is what the country needs right now because the three-party coalition government is a disaster and the country needs a change.
Chaudhry adds that they will focus on issues such as the cost of living, drugs, land issues, and the Police Force being unable to cope with the rising crime situation.
The FLP Leader says the Local Government Election is yet to happen while the government is saying that they will review the Act before holding the elections.
