South Pacific's largest radio broadcaster and parent company of Legend, FM96, Viti FM, Navtarang and Radio Sargam, Communications Fiji Limited has announced changes to the board and management of its Papua New Guinea subsidiary PNG FM ltd.
Chairman, Matt Wilson says this is part of the previously announced reorganisation of the group.
He says as a parent company they are looking to the board of PNG FM Ltd to become a lot more active working in direct support of the management team in PNG.
Wilson adds as part of the change, current Chairman William Parkinson has stepped down from his position but will continue as Executive Director.
Long time board member and former General Manager Peter Aitsi will take up the position of independent Chairman.
Wilson says Peter Aitsi is well respected across PNG and has a long history with PNG FM being a founding member of the team.
Fiji based Director Pramesh Sharma remains as a Director.
General Manager Adrian Au has resigned from his position as General Manager after 17 years with PNG FM Ltd.
Wilson also says they are very grateful for his service and delighted that he has agreed to remain as company secretary.
Charles Taylor takes up the position of General Manager after holding the position of Deputy General Manager at PNG FM for the last three years.
Taylor started with Communications Fiji Limited as a part time announcer in 1995 and over the last 22 years has worked his way up through the organisation holding various senior management positions before moving to PNG.
