Police have highlighted the posting of personal information on social networking sites as a concern.
Cyber Crime Investigation Unit Detective, Inspector Serupepeli Neiko said people have to be aware of their security when using any site.
He also said people should avoid doing internet banking at internet shops as some can access people’s accounts and to change your security settings on a regular basis.
Ninety two cases of cyber crime were reported to police from 2008 to last month.
The cases include stalking people online and through mobile phone calls, social network sites, emails, hacking, distribution of pornography material, use of stolen credit card details for online transactions and unauthorized transfer of funds through internet banking.
A Cyber Security workshop is underway at the Police academy in Nasova and will end on Thursday.
