Flexible learning at the Fiji National University has proven beneficial for working students like Shinal Shivani Chandra, who was able to complete her Bachelor in Education (Secondary) (English and Geography) programme online while teaching.
Chandra, who teaches English and Social Science at Holy Family Secondary School in Labasa, commended the University for the provision of flexible learning that allowed her to balance her academic pursuits with work commitments effectively.
She says she is excited and privileged to be an online student and to complete her programme through this mode of learning.
She also says through flexible learning, she was able to teach and study as well.
Chandra also advises students to work hard and do their best as they can always achieve anything through hard work.
Chandra progressed to pursue the Bachelor programme offered by FNU’s College of Humanities and Education (CHE) after graduating from the Diploma in Education programme in 2013.
She plans to enrol in FNU’s Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching English as a Second Language this year.
