A man who is caring and always ready to help.

This is Ronald Chand’s description of his cousin, Pramesh Ram who passed away in a road accident in Navua this morning.

Chand says his 35-year-old cousin was a security guard at the Navua Hospital and upon arriving home yesterday, Ram was called back to work at around 10.30 last night.

He says Ram was a man who was known to his family as a caring person and his workmates as one who was always looking for ways to assist any person who would need a hand.

Police have confirmed that the post mortem of Pramesh Chand will be conducted tomorrow.

Chand was heading towards Navua after 1am when the vehicle he was driving veered off the road and hit an electric post along Tokotoko Road in Navua.

Police say that Chand was pulled out of the vehicle with the assistance from National Fire Authority personnel and was taken to the Navua Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The road death toll currently stands at 36 which is the same for this period last year.
