The Central Falcons 1 have been crowned the champions of the National Women's 10s competition after defeating Highlanders 1 24-7 at Garvey Park in Tavua.
The five teams that competed are Central Falcons from Central division, the Highlanders from the Eastern division, Roosters from Western 1, Crusaders from Western 2 and the Sharks from the Northern division.
FRU Development Manager Koli Sewabu says the National Women's competition is a talent identification programme where the FRU Development is going out into different regions to scout for talents.
Sewabu says this is an opportunity for the Fijiana coach, Senirusi Seruvakula and his panels to identify more talents who deserve to be in the wider training group ahead of the Rugby World Cup next year.
The Women’s 10’s competition is an initiative by FRU Development in partnership with Fiji Rugby High-Performance Unit.
