Celtics claim 133-128 win over Pacers in game 1 of Eastern Conference Finals

The Boston Celtics have claimed Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals after clinching a 133-128 win over the Indiana Pacers this afternoon.

It was a tight contest as the game went into overtime after both teams were locked at 117-all after the 4th quarter.

Celtics forward Jayson Tatum scored a total of 36 points in 46 minutes with 12 rebounds and 4 assists to help his side secure the win.

The Celtics claimed the first quarter 34-31 before the Pacers came back to claim the second quarter 33-30.

The Celtics reclaimed the third quarter 30-29 before the Pacers took out the 4th quarter 24-23 to lock the score at fulltime.

The Celtics came out stronger at over time to claim a 16-11 margin and secure the win.

Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the two teams will be at 12pm Friday.

Meanwhile, the Minnesota Timberwolves will take on the Dallas Mavericks in game 1 of the Western Conference Finals at 12.30pm tomorrow.
