Celebrations are ongoing for the gold medal winning 7's Captain Osea Kolinisau as the community of Wainimako and the Wainimako Methodist Church of Cunningham turned up in numbers to celebrate the gold medal win.
Speaking at the celebration, Kolinisau thanked the community for what they have put together for him as it was unexpected.
Kolinisau also acknowledged the players for working together for weeks before the Rio Olympics.
He says they were not representing themselves while playing at the Olympics, but the country as a whole.
Kolinisau says family support was very crucial during and even before the Olympics.
