It takes a village to raise a child, and this certainly was the case for Cicia High School.
This was highlighted today by the United States Ambassador to Fiji Judith Cefkin at the screening of the documentary film on the academic success of Cicia High School at the US Embassy in Suva.
Cicia High School was established in 2005 and has had a 100% pass rate in year 10 exams from 2007 to 2010 when it was exempted from external exams, and has produced a 100% pass rate in year 12 in the year 2014 and a 96.2% rate in year 13 exams for 2014.
Cefkin says that the entire community, parents, teachers, coaches, church leaders each played a role to make the school a nationwide success.
Cefkin also acknowledged the leadership of founding Principal Isikeli Karikaritu to coordinate the efforts to inspire great results from the students and teachers of Cicia High School.
Karikaritu says that the students, teachers, parents and the community are the stakeholders of the school.
