Cawaki confident divisional commissioners will perform

The Assistant Minister for Agriculture, Rural and Maritime Development and National Disaster Management Joeli Cawaki said he is confident that all the newly appointed divisional commissioners will perform to the expectations of government.

Cawaki said all the divisional commissioners were appointed after consultations with the prime minister, government ministers and permanent secretaries and he has no doubt that they will rise to the occasion.

He said that all the newly appointed commissioners will now take on the role of ensuring that all of government’s development programs are carried out thoroughly.

The new appointments include Luke Moroivalu as Commissioner Eastern, Meleti Bainimarama as Commissioner Central, Manasa Tagicakibau as Commissioner Western and Alipate Bolalevu will act as Commissioner Northern until Jovesa Vocea will officially take up the post in July.
