Cathedral Secondary School won the Senior Division of the Tadra Kahani with Connect last night after their gripping performance on the issue of bullying in schools.
Form five student representative Ana Tugi said they are just happy to win after months of preparations.
Tugi believes it was their clear portrayal of bullying in schools that gave them the edge over the other 9 secondary schools.
International School Suva was crowned the winner in the Junior Division with their empowering and touching theme of “Coping With Cancer”.
Class five student representative, Jacob Silvestrini said the win is dedicated to their former principal who died of cancer.
Meanwhile, Walk on Walk Strong co-founder, Taholo Kami said they were really moved by the primary students’ performance and it was great achievement for them as yesterday marked the fourth year of their daughters passing away.
After a happening night organizers, Total Event Company Manager, Loretta Jackson said it was an unbelievable night with so much effort put in by students.
In the special awards for the Senior division, Cathedral Secondary school won the Best Concept, Best Sound Track, International School Suva won the best Set Design and Lighting, and Best Backdrop.
Best Costume Design, Hair and Makeup.
Dilkusha Methodist School won the Best Choreography and Lomary Secondary School won the Best Audience Response award.
In the special awards for the Junior Division, Rishikul Primary School won the Best Set Design and Lighting together with the Best Sound Track.
International School Suva won the Best Concept and Best Backdrop awards while Dudley Intermediate won Best Choreography.
