Cartons of bottled water donated to affected villagers in Ono-i-Lau, Vatoa and Moce

The Bula Ko Lau Forum has donated 120 cartons of bottled water to families in Lau affected by the volcanic eruption in Tonga.

40 cartons have been delivered to villagers in Ono-I-Lau, 30 cartons will be delivered to Vatoa and 30 cartons to Moce.

Two teams that include health personnel, government officials and military personnel are currently in the Lau Group delivering relief supplies and carrying out assessments.

One team is travelling on the MV Iloilovatu, where the Minister for Infrastructure Jone Usamate and the Assistant Minister for Disaster Management Vijay Nath will lead the team.

The other team is travelling on the MV Veivueti and will be led by the Minister for Health Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete and Assistant Minister for iTaukei Affairs Selai Adimaitoga.
