Former All Blacks legendary flyhalf Daniel Carter has been invited into the All Blacks’ inner sanctum this year as part of a “legacy group” ahead of the upcoming Rugby World Cup alongside World Cup winners Keven Mealamu, Richie McCaw, Conrad Smith, and Liam Messam.
While their playing days are over, these five legends are continuing to add to the distinguished legacy of the black jersey ahead of the Rugby World Cup in France.
In reacting to this, Carter says going back into that environment makes you kind of feel like a spare wheel.
He also says he was stunned by the discipline of this current crop of All Blacks players.
Carter says these players are doing things that were never done before in the team after a win and they are impressive.
The All Blacks will play their last test match against South Africa at 6.30am next Saturday before heading to the Rugby World Cup.
Their first RWC game is against France on the 9th of next month at 7.15am.
