Captaincy for Commonwealth 7s still open

Fiji Airways men’s national 7s coach Ben Gollings has left the captain’s position open for the Commonwealth Games.

Gollings says at this stage he wants to develop a leadership group as a whole before he names his captain for the side.

He says this doesn't mean that Tevita Daugunu will not be considered for the role

Daugunu has been the regular captain for the HSBC World 7s Series.

Fiji has been pooled with Canada, Wales and Zambia for the Commonwealth Games.

The 7s competition will take place from 29th July to 1st August.
