Orthopaedic Surgeon, Captain Mark Rokobuli who was one of the 511 soldiers who returned from Golan Heights said words cannot describe the experience in Israel’s mountainous region.
Rokobuli said it was different for civilian health and medical care because he was treating injured people under humanitarian grounds.
Rokobuli explains that the task was to look after UN personnel that included Fijians.
This required him to always be on the move.
He added that he came across cases that he has never experienced in his line of expertise like that of gunshot wounds and severe burns from bomb blasts.
