Army Commander, Rear Admiral Viliame Naupoto confirms that former Navy Commander Captain John Fox has been the Acting Chief of Staff of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces since December last year as former Chief of Staff, Brigadier General Jone Kalouniwai has gone for further studies until December this year.
Rear Admiral Naupoto says Brigadier General Kalouniwai is on a one year course at the Australian Defence College and returns at the end of this year.
Captain Fox was also the RFMF’s Director of Force Development before he took up the acting position.
