The Canberra Raiders are through to the semifinals of the NRL after defeating Sydney Roosters 22-18 in the second elimination round last night.

Josh Papalii, George Williams, Joseph Tapine and Jack Wighton scored a try each for the Raiders to end the Roosters’ three-peat hopes.

Roosters full back James Tedesco scored twice but it wasn't enough as the visiting team hung on to book themselves a spot into the semifinals.

The Raiders will now take on the Storm at 8.50pm next Friday in the first semifinals.

Meanwhile, the Rabbitohs will meet the Eels at 8.50 tonight.

The winning team from this match will face the Panthers in the second semifinal next week.
