The CWM Hospital is once again without water as staff are handing out water bottles to patients.
Questions are being asked about whether the hospital has a backup water supply.
The issue is impacting surgeries and patient care while feeding has been put on hold because no water and clean practices are compromised.
While responding to our questions, the Water Authority of Fiji says they cannot confirm at the moment if the water cut at the hospital is from the current water disruptions for residents fed from the Tamavua and Upper Tovata due to low treated water production influenced by high raw water turbidity, or if it is a Ministry of Health issue.
They say hospitals are their top priority when it comes to water disruptions and they usually provide water carts to fill up the backup system at hospitals.
They add the current water disruption is impacting their ability to maintain normal operations at these facilities.
