Fiji's top musicians at Communications Fiji Limited

In an effort to support local musicians and trying to eliminate the damaging effect of piracy in the local music industry, Communications Fiji Limited has revealed that none of its radio stations are playing any remix local songs done by some DJs.

In a meeting with the leaders of the music industry, CFL’s Executive Chairman William Parkinson says Legend FM, FM96, Viti FM, Navtarang and Radio Sargam is playing local original music and the CFL radio stations will not play stolen music.

Parkinson says that this is where CFL also came up with programs on their digital platforms like “Vosa Na Wa” on VitiFM and LegendFM’s “Local Vocal”.

Meanwhile top musician, Seru Serevi says that this is a very important move by CFL’s radio stations.

Some of the famous musicians present in the meeting were Knox, Natalie Raikadroka, Saimoni Vuatalevu, Laisa Vulakoro, Big Wilz and Eremasi Tamanisau.
