Communications Fiji Limited owned radio stations, Legend FM, FM96, Viti FM, Navtarang and Radio Sargam dominate the Fiji radio market again after the latest media survey conducted by independent research specialists, Tebbutt Research.
The survey results revealed that 88.8% of radio listeners surveyed listened to one of the five Communications Fiji Limited radio stations.
CFL Managing Director William Parkinson said once again the five stations have delivered a massive number and this confirmed what was a record breaking result last year.
According to the survey, for over last seven days, FM96 had 50.4% listenership and Legend FM had 19.3% which makes them the top two English speaking stations in the country.
Navtarang and Sargam lead the Hindi speaking market in Fiji.
Navtarang has 33.5% listenership while Sargam has 25.1%.
Viti FM remains the leader in the iTaukei speaking radio market with 40.9% listenership.
CFL’s General Manager Ian Jackson said the company designs each of the stations’ programming formats to service different sections of the community and once again all the five stations performed strongly in their respective markets contributing to a great result.
