Communications Fiji Limited, the parent company of Legend FM, FM96, Viti FM, Navtarang and Radio Sargam has opened a new PNG radio station today.

Legend FM Bikpela 101 hit the airwaves of Papua New Guinea this morning.

The new station is CFL's subsidiary PNG FM's third radio station joining Nau FM and YUMI FM and it is also the CFL group's eighth station.

CFL Managing Director, William Parkinson said the new radio network is opening at a critical time for PNG FM.

Parkinson said the advertising market in PNG is growing rapidly and he expects Legend FM Bikpela 101 to contribute immediately to PNG FM and CFL's growth.

The new network cost $610,000 to construct and was funded out of operational cash flow.
