Health Minister Dr. Ifereimi Waqainabete says that by next year they are planning to have a Centre for Disease Control lab in the western division which is likely to be in Nadi.
Dr. Waqainabete says it is not just about setting up the lab but having the right people to operate.
He says they have the scientists that are trained who are capable of working in the lab.
Dr Waqainabete says they have received indications from the World Health Organization and they are working with them.
