Transport needs of the hundreds of residents in Uciwai, Nalovo, Nadovi, Nawaicoba, Momi, Nabila, Malamala, Tunalia and Malolo in Nadi are currently being accommodated by other Public Service Vehicles.

This arrangement has been made by the Land Transport Authority of Fiji who says that they are currently in discussion with Dominion Transport Limited who are the licenced service providers in these areas.

Dominion Transport Limited has not serviced their routes since yesterday as their bus drivers have not been given their wages.

The Director of Dominion Transport Limited, Leena Nandan has claimed that they had not received the anticipated income for last Saturday and this is why they have not paid the bus drivers.

Nandan says that they received about $2,000 through their e-ticketing revenue for Saturday, however they anticipated a lot more than that.

Meanwhile, Vodafone Fiji Limited’s Head of mCommerce & Corporate Affairs, Shailendra Prasad has reiterated that Vodafone remits all e-ticketing revenues that is processed through the e-ticketing system to respective bus operators minus any fees and charges on a daily basis.

Prasad says that the operators have access to their transaction reports to verify the funds remitted to the banks in comparison to the e-ticketing transaction that takes places on their buses in a completely transparent process.
