The Permanent Secretary for Education, Alison Burchell is urging teachers to upload their contracts on their Fijian Education Information Management System account to avoid any disruption in their pay for the start of Term 1.

Burchell says there are more than 800 contracts that are yet to be submitted by teachers.

Burchell says if there is a delay in teachers submitting their signed contracts online, there could be a disruption in the salaries for teachers.

Burchell says e-contract system was introduced in November last year and all teachers know how to operate the system.

Burchell also says that the Education Ministry has been successful in issuing 9,000 five year contracts to teachers this year.
