The ACT Brumbies continued their unbeaten start to Super Rugby AU by thrashing the Western Force 24-0 at Leichhardt Oval last night.
Force have made a habit of starting fast since returning to Super Rugby, but it was the Brumbies who got out of the gates quickest, with a try from Tom Wright just two minutes into the match.
Moments later, the Brumbies went the length of the field again, this time Irae Simone benefitting from a brilliant break by Pete Samu and Wright.
After leading 12-0 at the break, the Brumbies crossed over again from Will Miller.
A well-worked maul saw replacement hooker Connal McInerney cross the white line to extend their lead in the 66th minute, effectively sealing the contest.
The Brumbies' bonus-point victory saw them move ahead of the Reds on the points table to set up a blockbuster match-up between the two sides next Saturday night in Canberra.
