Brumbies captain David Pocock will miss this week's second round Super Rugby match against the Chiefs due to an injury he sustained playing against the Reds in Canberra last week.
Pocock missed the Brumbies training yesterday after a ankle injury and it is not known how long he will be out of action.
The former Wallabies said that he is focused on getting his ankle right so that he can return to the playing field as soon as possible.
However the Chiefs will look to bring back the big guns for Friday's tough Super Rugby home match against the powerful Brumbies.
All Blacks Aaron Cruden, Liam Messam and Brodie Retallick are primed ready to return in their delayed start to the season, while Hosea Gear, Seta Tamanivalu, Ben Tameifuna and Tim Nanai‑Williams will also be in the mix after recovering from injuries and illness.
The Brumbies and the Cheetahs currently lead the points table with 5 points each while the Hurricanes trail in third place with 4 points.
The Chiefs will take on the Brumbies at 6.35pm on Friday while the Rebels will also meet the Waratahs at 8.40pm.
On Saturday, the Bulls will clash with the Hurricanes at 5.10am, Stormers will face the Blues at 3.05am, Sharks will take on the Lions at 5.10am, Highlanders and the Crusaders will meet at 6.35pm while the Reds will take on Western Force at 8.40pm.
