The Chiefs will be without All Blacks lock Brodie Retallick for several weeks because of a broken thumb suffered in Saturday’s 34-19 loss to the Crusaders in Hamilton.
Retallick left the field after 31 minutes and didn’t return as the Chiefs lost their second match from five in Super Rugby Pacific.
The 30-year-old had started each match for the Chiefs this season after he missed the last two Super Rugby campaigns while playing in Japan for the Kobelco Steelers.
