The British High Commissioner to Fiji Doctor Brian Jones will be hosting the Board of Visitors of the CWM Hospital to an event at his residence this evening to raise funds for the hospital.
He says they all need to come together as businesses and the government sector, to support the hospital.
Doctor Jones also says he has been told the CWM Hospital has an active Board of Visitors and the other hospitals are just developing the group of people.
He further says once those boards of visitors are developed, they will be working with the Ministry of Health to host more events where they can draw attention and support for those facilities.
The High Commissioner says they will also be looking at Saint Giles Hospital because quite often mental health is the poorer cousin of physical health but it is equally important for everyone.
He adds they will be looking at this once the boards of visitors get established.
