Fiji 7s dual Olympic gold medalist Jerry Tuwai received a new vehicle from Commercial Motors and Veiwekani Taxis as a token of appreciation for his contribution to rugby in the country.
The customised number plate for Tuwai’s vehicle is 2GOLD.
Tuwai says winning gold in the Olympic Games was never about the things he would get.
He adds it was about giving back to the nation.
Director for Commercial Motors Daniel Sharma says the win that the Fiji 7s team achieved came at the right moment and it put smiles on Fijians during a time of struggle.
He says given the great jubilation the team brought to the nation, it is fitting to give something back to Tuwai.
The Fijian Government earlier announced that it would provide Tuwai with a house, a piece of land and $33,000 for his achievements.
