Bouncer from Nabua allegedly found in possession of meth further remanded in custody

A 29-year-old bouncer from Nabua who was allegedly found in possession of methamphetamine has been further remanded in custody by the Suva Magistrates Court.

Simione Serukalou has been charged with two counts of unlawful possession of illicit drugs.

Serukalou was allegedly found in possession of 2.8 grams of methamphetamine.

Magistrate Liyanage Kashyapa Wickramasekara refused bail due to the seriousness of the offence and his previous conviction.

Serukalou was charged with one count of aggravated robbery in 2012 where he was sentenced to 2 years imprisonment.

Magistrate Wickramasekara has ordered Serukalou to file a formal bail application.

The case has been adjourned to the 4th of May.
