Almost half of our target population have now received the COVID-19 booster dose.
As of yesterday, 149,998 people have received their first booster dose which is 48% of the target population.
13,540 people have so far received their second booster dose.
Permanent Secretary for Health, Doctor James Fong says they have seen recently that people who died because of COVID-19 were vaccinated but had not received a booster dose.
Dr Fong is urging people, especially people over the age of 50 and anyone with underlying medical conditions to get vaccinated and get their first and second booster doses when due.
