The body of a 16-year-old boy who was reportedly swept away while trying to retrieve a rugby ball from a flooded drain in Nadera has been recovered.
Police and National Fire Authority officers from Valelevu recovered the body earlier this afternoon.
The incident occurred at the Nadera Ground opposite Duvula Road.
Meanwhile, Police are urging parents and guardians to keep a close watch on their children during the current weather situation.
Police are warning as well as clearing children from creeks and flooded drains and have warned parents of the consequences of leaving their children unsupervised.
