The case regarding the man who was found lying motionless in Vesida near a shortcut in Caubati early Wednesday morning, has now been classified as murder.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro says this follows the post mortem examination that was conducted this morning.
An eyewitness had earlier told Fijivillage that she had seen the 21-year-old deceased late that night with two other men.
She also says that she saw the two men badly beating up the deceased.
Naisoro says some people have been questioned and released as they were waiting for the post mortem report.
Investigations continue.
