The Public Works Tender Board is to make a decision in two weeks time on whether a number of families living in the Central Caubati squatter settlement will have to relocate.
Director Housing Kolinio Bola said while they have started laying the infrastructure for water and electricity, the 300 families living in the area will know whether they will have to move elsewhere.
He revealed initial plans for the upgrading work was for only 200 families and now the Department has to fork out extra money to accommodate the extra families.
The tender board has the final say on whether the initial plan has to be changed to accommodate the extra families.
