The Births, Deaths and Marriages Office is now open in Nausori to conveniently cater for residents to register.

Attorney General and Minister for Justice Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said this is another step by Government to make important services available in more locations across the country.

Khaiyum said members of the local community should take full advantage of the new Births, Deaths and Marriage service location, particularly in the lead-up to the new school year.

He said for those who have never had their birth registered that the Government amnesty for late registrations is in effect through March 14th.

He added during this amnesty, Government is waiving the usual fee of $11.50 for registrations made more than 12 months after birth.

The Births, Deaths and Marriages Office desk is at the Nausori Government Service Centre which is located on the ground floor of Hemron Plaza.
