After over two years of not winning any World 7s Series tournament, the newly appointed Fiji Airways Men's 7s coach, Ben Gollings has brought Fiji back to its winning ways.
In his first role as a coach, Gollings managed to put together an exciting team that went on to win the Singapore 7s last week.
Gollings was selected as the national 7s coach in December last year, taking up the role from Fijiana 7s coach Saiasi Fuli.
The player who is the all-time most points scorer retired from rugby 7s in 2011 and took up a coaching role in Sri Lanka.
He then relocated to Seattle in the United States to take up a major role with Serevi Rugby, a rugby training and development programme founded by 7s legend and former Fiji 7s captain, Waisale Serevi.
This week will be another exciting week for Gollings, as Fiji has not won back to back tournaments since the 2019 London and Paris 7s.
The Fiji 7s side is in Pool A with USA, England and Kenya for the Vancouver 7s that will be held on Saturday and Sunday.
