Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s newcomer Younis Bese is excited to be playing alongside some of the women that won bronze in the Tokyo Olympic Games last year as the team prepares for the upcoming Dubai and Cape Town 7s tournaments next month.
The former Fiji athletics sprinter is one of the three players from the Rooster Chicken Fijiana 15s side that has joined the Fijiana 7s for final international 7s tournaments for this year.
She says she was nervous to hear her named in the travelling squad to South Africa but she knows the huge task ahead.
Bese says transitioning from 15s rugby to 7s was challenging, however, the hospitality from the girls has been overwhelming and welcoming.
She adds that a big motivator for her to join rugby was the Fijiana 7s bronze medal victory in Tokyo and she is determined to give her all in the two tournaments next month.
The Fijiana 7s is pooled with Ireland, Spain and Japan.
The Dubai 7s will be held from next Friday to Sunday.
