Blues and All Blacks first-five Beauden Barrett says they "underestimated" how much the Fijian Drua side would "fluster" them during their 35-18 victory on Saturday night.
The Super Rugby Pacific leaders were frustrated by the competition newbies for much of the contest, struggling to find fluency and accuracy with a few anxious moments.
The Blues needed two length-of-the-field intercept tries from wing AJ Lam and centre Rieko Ioane to pad their scoreline and emerge with a crucial bonus point.
Barrett says his side potentially "underestimated" how much Fijian Drua would stop them from playing their attacking style of rugby.
Barrett adds it reminded him of the international games against Fiji last year.
