Basketball Fiji is trying to attract more overseas teams to play in Fiji.
Development Officer Laisiasa Puamau said as it costs a lot to send our teams overseas.
Puamau added the overseas teams that are expected to tour Fiji includes New Caledonia and Papua New Guinea.
He said they are also organizing a match between the Fiji Men’s basketball side and a Canadian All Star team later this year.
Puamau also confirms that Basketball Fiji has already placed its bid to host the FIBA Oceania Pacific Basketball championship which will attract eight national teams from the Oceania region.
