Barry Omundson is the new Chief Executive Officer of the Water Authority of Fiji

Australian, Barry Omundson is the new Chief Executive Officer of the Water Authority of Fiji.

Omundson started work last Friday.

Omundson says his focus will be developing a culture of world class service delivery.

Omundson says he has worked his way up the ranks, starting as a fitter, to leading large organizations with thousands of workers which has given him a thorough understanding of operations from ground to executive management.

He says he is looking forward to serving Fijians to the very best of his ability and to provide safe and clean drinking water to all Fijians.

Water Authority of Fiji’s Board Chair, Bhavesh Kumar says Omundson has an extensive water-related background and has spent numerous years at Executive Management level in large organizations.

He says Omundson has the full confidence and backing of the Board to take WAF to the next level.
