Star Blues playmaker Beauden Barrett has challenged himself to go to even greater heights over the remainder of the Super Rugby Pacific competition.
Barrett was inspirational on Saturday night at Eden Park in front of a jubilant crowd of 23,500, both as stand-in captain in the absence of regular skipper Dalton Papalii and as the orchestrator of a Blues attack that finally got going late in the first half, and cruised to a 35-6, five tries to none, victory.
The Crusaders face the Chiefs at 7.05pm Friday and the Blues will play the Brumbies at 7.05pm Saturday.
