Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama says that he is excited to celebrate the achievements of women in the country a day after speaking out and condemning all violence against women.
Bainimarama highlighted this while officiating as the chief guest at the Tailevu Rugby Union Event at Syria Park, Nausori today.
He says that he is fighting every day to build a better and safer Fijian society where no one lives are in fear of domestic violence.
Bainimarama thanked the members of the Tailevu Women’s team for their achievement coming out as champions in the Skipper Cup Competition.
He says that this is a big achievement for Tailevu Women’s rugby as one of the newest teams.
Bainimarama says that he is confident that some of these players will be part of the Fijiana team in the Oceania Rugby Competition.
