Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has commended the sacrifices the Australian Defence Force personnel have made to help rebuild Fiji after Tropical Cyclone Yasa.

Bainimarama was at Galoa Island yesterday to meet with the villagers and the ADF Personnel.

The Prime Minister says these personnel came at a time when they were supposed to be celebrating the festive season with their families.

He has conveyed his sincere appreciation to the villagers of Galoa, Yadua and Yaqaga for their hospitality towards the Australian personnel that are in Fiji to carry out relief works.

He also thanked the Australian government for the relief works they are carrying out in Fiji.

The HMAS Adelaide arrived in Fiji on the 30th of last month with over 600 personnel.
