The family of Fiji 7s team coach Gareth Baber has sent the team a video message and wished them well before their first match against Japan in the Olympic 7s competitions this afternoon.
Baber's wife and children are in the video saying, Toso Viti Toso.
Baber says he has not seen his family since the end of December.
Speaking from the Olympics Games Village in Tokyo, Baber says his family understands that this is a lifetime opportunity for him and the players.
He says messages from his family and friends keep him motivated as well.
The men’s Olympic 7s competition runs from today until Wednesday.
Fiji will begin their defence of the Olympic gold medal against Japan at 12pm today and then play Canada at 8pm today.
The national side will play Great Britain at 12.30pm tomorrow.
The quarterfinals will start at 8.30pm tomorrow, the semifinals will be played from 2pm Wednesday while the final will be played at 9pm Wednesday.
