Baber in contact with Kunatani about joining training camp

Fiji 7s coach Gareth Baber says he has been in contact with Semi Kunatani after he was dropped by his French club, Castres for medical reasons.

Kunatani was released by Castres in October last year for not meeting the requirements of the regulatory medical examination and has been without a club since.

Baber says he has told Kunatani that if things do not work out in France, they would look at him being part of the training group for the Tokyo Olympics.

Kunatani was an integral member of the Fiji 7’s team which won gold at the 2016 Rio Games.
