Ba soccer team waiting for travel documents to leave for NZ to prepare for OFC Champions League - Kumar

The Ba soccer team is waiting for their travel documents so that the team can leave for New Zealand to prepare for the OFC Champions League.

This has been confirmed by Ba President, Rishi Kumar.

Ba will be coached by the former New Zealand Football Coach, Ricki Herbert for the OFC Champions League.

Kumar says the team’s accommodation and possible build-up matches have been arranged but they are waiting for their travel documents.

Meanwhile, Ba’s Vodafone Premier League matches have been postponed till April.

Lautoka who will also participate in the O-League will play their VPL match against Nadi this weekend and have been granted time to prepare for their O-League campaign.

This has been confirmed by Fiji Football Association CEO, Mohammed Yusuf who says the teams will play their VPL matches after April.

All other matches this weekend will be played as scheduled.

Labasa take on Navua at 1.30pm on Saturday at Subrail Park while on Sunday at 3pm Nasinu takes on Rewa at Ratu Cakobau Park while the Nadi – Lautoka match will be played at Churchill Park.

Meanwhile, Lautoka play their first OFC match against Vanuatu team, Malampa Revivors on their home ground on the 15th of this month while Ba will take on Auckland City on the 3rd of next month in Tahiti.
