The Ba Methodist Saints team beat Queen Victoria School Knights 20-6 to become the new Under 15 Vodafone Fiji Secondary School Rugby League champions at Prince Charles Park in Nadi.
Ba Saints Captain, Osea Naiqamu Naula told fijivillage News that winning today is the result of their dedication and discipline throughout the season.
Naula thanked the boys for their teamwork which resulted in victory.
Ba Saints coach, David Wise says the win today will be noted in the history of the school.
Wise says after 125 years this is a history-maker for the school, for an Under 15 grade to win at a national level.
He wants to thank the parents and teachers for their continued support throughout the season.
Meanwhile, the school Principal Azam Ali says despite the lack of rugby facilities to cater to the boys it did not deter their focus from trying to win today's game.
Ali says Ba Methodist was always known for soccer but now it is also growing the interest for rugby league as well.
Ba Saints led 10-0 at half-time.
Tries for the winning side were scored by Semi Sasai, Osea Naiqamu Naula and Eneri Saunivalu, while Viliame Derenalagi scored the lone try for the QVS Knights.
