Hundreds of online banking customers of the Bank of the South Pacific are facing difficulties while purchasing items online from the United States.
BSP Retail and Digital Banking General Manager, Ravindra Singh says some online transactions were done without customer authorization and this is why BSP has placed temporary restrictions on transactions from the US and use of US dollars for transactions.
He says these restrictions are also placed on online sites that they deem to be a security risk.
Singh added that they are working on improving their security control and people can expect the issue to be resolved by the end of October this year.
He says customers have to contact the bank if they need to use their card or purchase anything in American currency.
